Last December 14 and 15, the "Digital Bridge: Universal Trade" Smart Euskadi 2022 Meeting Web 3.0 Page was held, by the Universal Digital Trade Consortium (Turkey-Spain) UDCT. The action took place across Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, making stops in different places in both territories.
To start, on Wednesday the 14th of the month, Mario Carabaño and Panos Vodinas, on behalf of Grant Thornton Equipo Universal Digital, Osman Kumas and Burak Helvaci, representing Trlogic, and Javier Sánchez, manager of Universitario Vasco Navarro 3.0, visited several Basque companies. With the aim of presenting the opportunities available to them by cooperating with Asian countries (such as Turkey).
At 10:00 in the morning, José Mari Etxebarria EAJ's deputy secretary general welcomed the participants at Sabin Etxe. They all highlighted the "importance of China in the New World", and concluded that "anyone who is not open to this economy is left out of the game", not to mention new technologies, "as a support for everything". Regarding the Basque industry, they stated that "it is open to doing business with that part of the world". Next, José Mari Etxeberria showed the visitors various areas of the Sabin House.
At 13:30, the Meeting continued at the Bizkaia Tower. Koldo Atxutegi, General Manager of the Transformation of Bizkaia into an Attraction, spoke with Carabaño, Vodinas, Kumas, Helvaci and Sánchez on the following topic: "Finding digital opportunities worldwide for Smart Euskadi". The result of that meeting was that Bizkaia "is open to cooperation with China, Asia and whatever is necessary, if Bizkaia also receives investment companies".
In the afternoon, and after lunch in a cider house in Galdakao, the visitors discussed entrepreneurship and DLT tools with Eduardo Aginako, CIFP Andra Mari LHII Change Promoter, in a meeting called "To the world with Faldakano". Then Aginako showed the facilities of the center.
And to end this first day, the group visited the BasqueTRADE Technology Park in Zamudio (Digital Bridge of Istanbul). At TECNALIA, Spain's first research company, they spoke with Óscar Lage, the Cybersecurity and Blockchain Manager of this company, on the subject of "Finding digital opportunities in world trade".
