Holfraine, the Murcian Overwatch that has achieved financing in just 10 days
The Kickstarter crowdfunding platform once again hosts a very ambitious Spanish project. It is a new shooting game, a shooter that mixes with the components of the MOBA games to create a project very similar to the well-known Overwatch.
Holfraine: Black Eyes Troopers is the proposal of FluXart, the Murcian video game studio that has managed to gather, in just 10 days, about $ 15,000 to finance the development of the game.
As far as history is concerned, in the Holfraine universe it reflects a future where governments have decided to create bases for collecting energy on different planets; they look for Holfraine, the most valuable mineral in terms of energy value. In the game we control teams of mercenaries that enter these planets with the objective of defeating their enemies and obtaining the precious Holfraine, which gives its name to the game itself.
Mix of action that unites the concepts and philosophy of Overwatch in Fortnite style
As for playability, Holfraine mixes shooting action with a complex character definition, more typical of the MOBA. Each hero has its own characteristics and abilities, which benefit to create very complex and exciting combat situations. It is the same concept and philosophy with which Overwatch is held, only that in Holfraine we control our character in the third person, more in the Fortnite style.
This new Spanish game brings a very interesting proposal, especially in terms of game modes. The development team has explained that they plan to implement a game mode that combines all the classic modes of the shooter genre. In the same game we will have battles to the death and goal defenses, in that way, each player must adapt his way of playing as the game progresses and play more offensive or defensive as appropriate.
To contribute to the development of Holfraine, there are rates ranging from donations of 1 euro to contributions above 1000 euros. Each of these donations will add different products to the taxpayers, from the digital copy of the game, to hand-painted figures of their favorite hero. This is not the first Spanish game that triumphs on Kickstarter, as did TemTem, a proposal very similar to Pokémon that won the support of thousands of people, raising more than half a million dollars.
