At events like the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, not all mobile phones fill the space with the largest screen possible. In fact, L8star's recent proposals have attracted particular attention from attendees. L8star is a Chinese manufacturer specializing in the creation of miniature mobile phones, modeled on classic designs in the industry.
These incredibly small handsets are fully functional. This means that devices that look like ornaments can be used for calling or sending and receiving messages. The manufacturer showed two phones: one with a dual SIM, which mimicked the legendary Nokia 3310, and the other with Bluetooth technology.
What is striking about the two phones is that they certainly mimic the design of the Nokia 3310, as a modest handset combines nostalgia with its appearance. The model is called the L8star BM10, its dimensions are 67.8x27 and 8x12.4 millimeters, smaller than a metered one, and it has a 0.66-inch screen.
It has a 350 mAh battery and the manufacturer ensures that it can be kept in standby for up to 10 days. But its most notable feature is that it has a dual SIM mobile phone, a music player app, and can store up to 500 contacts and 100 messages.
Along with this is the L8star BM50. Its dimensions are 74.4x23 and 3x11.2 millimeters and it has a battery of 300 mAh, which gives 120 hours of standby. It has a 0.66-inch OLED display, a SIM slot, and is noticeable on the back because it can attach a headset to the mobile to put on the ear and talk like a hands-free.

Both phones can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth and will stop making calls while listening to music on the main device.
However, although these phones can be used for calling or receiving and sending messages, it is clear that the availability of these devices is quite limited due to their small size. They can be taken anywhere, but writing anything or handling menus is an almost impossible mission, even for people with thick fingers.
And the whole point of sending a message comes from reading messages, because a 0.66-inch screen is not a very comfortable experience. In any case, their price is pretty cheap, about 20 euros, which can be seen as a rare detail, for example for a gift, or as a mini-phone for emergencies.
However, these mini-phones have also had their bad consequences. According to official data, 1,500 mobs a year are confiscated in Spanish prisons, as prisoners are not allowed to be mobile. Devices of this type have become a problem as they are easier to access in prisons. They can be accessed in different ways, some eschatological, on the soles of the shoes, hidden everywhere to pass the controls ... Maybe the control may sound, but it's enough to make the chest or piercing excuses.
And finally, where are these cell phones available? Online stores, like mobile phones. Put the right word in the search engine and thousands of miniaturized mobiles will appear. You can't watch Netflix on them, but they are worth at least calls and receive.
