New Final Fantasy

The Pixel Remasters of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy III will arrive on Android on July 29th. At the last E3, Square Enix made several announcements, one of which, with a multi-practical purpose, was about one of its longest-running and best-known franchises, the Final Fantasy franchise. Saga fans received good news as the developer was creating new versions of the first parts Pixel Remaster.

Specifically, the company Square Enix was developing mobile versions of Pixel Remaster from Final Fantasy I to IV and it seems that the first three have an arrival date for Android. Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy III will be available on Google Play on July 29 in the Pixel Remaster version.

Three games for July 29th

With these new versions of the first Final Fantasy games, the games will feature a ‘pixel art’ style with an isometric approach, a style similar to the graphic adventures that have long been successful. The fights, however, will have a different style and will continue to take turns, characteristic of the saga.

The games will leave the original 4: 3 aspect to adapt to the most common mobile screens, most of which until recently were the most common from 16: 9 to 18: 9 and 20: 9 (and 21: 9) to reach normal screens today. Square Enix hopes to conquer fans of the saga and gain more users with a franchise that is completely legendary in the world of video games.

Square Enix will publish each title independently on Google Play, so we won’t be able to get the full Pixel Remaster saga through any package, but we’ll have to go game by game. And knowing Square Enix, they won’t be cheap. The games, as we said, are expected to arrive on July 29, and we’ll find out more about this landing later.

A journey to the magical worlds

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster will take us on a journey through magical worlds and show us comparisons of its models. It was one of the biggest appearances at Square Enix’s E3 2021 event. The first parts of the Final Fantasy franchise will return again with the name Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster with a redirect to PCs and mobile devices. The magic will invade us again like this, and his fans are ready to take him with open arms.

Now we finally know when we will get those titles that we have been waiting for so long again. It will be in July when they start launching the order, as Square Enix has revealed through a deleted presentation video, but as Gematsu has informed us.
For the more clueless, we’re talking about the first game up to Final Fantasy VI, where they’ve undergone a redesign of the pixelated characters. Kazuko Shibuya, who is in charge of these models, has been working on redesigning them since the beginning of the series.

Steam, Android and iOS are the platforms to see the light of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, although each game can be purchased individually.

Some criticism

During E3 2021, Square Enix unveiled its first six new Final Fantasy versions under the name Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. These RPGs for PC, iOS and Android are meant to be “definitive” versions of the classics, improving the quality of the graphics, but without changing the spirit of the originals much.

The news was well received by fans and the first images show that the characters' sprites and decorations add more detail, but there is one aspect that has received a lot of criticism: the chosen text fonts, poor readability and disrespect for some pixelated graphics. Many gamers criticize, at least in this respect, that Pixel Remaster does not improve on the versions currently on sale.
