As part of the Digital Day 2021 celebrations organized by the European Commission, which brought together MEPs, ministers from Member States, industry management and other stakeholders, European countries are committed to promoting international connectivity. With regard to the latest commitment, 24 EU countries and Iceland have signed a ‘EU Startup Nations Standard’ statement to promote new and large-scale enterprises to take advantage of good practices aimed at transitioning to a sustainable, digital and resilient economy.

European data crossings

27 countries - 25 member states, Iceland and Norway - have signed the declaration ‘European data gateways as a key element of the EU digital decade’, pledging to strengthen connectivity between Europe and its neighbors and its African, Asian and Latin American partners.

Ecological and digital transformation
