Until recently, speak of Erasmus meant performing university studies in a European country. Now no. Since 1 January 2014, this program of student mobility changed its name and was renamed Erasmus. The reason was the increase in the budget and, among other developments, the enlargement of the countries in which young people can live this experience. Thus, Erasmus put at their disposal the possibility of traveling by virtually the entire world, including one of the major powers of the same, China.
How many and how many young people do not want to know this Asian country? Well, now have the possibility of doing so while doing their higher studies, with the advantage of the grants and scholarships offered by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and universities to finance these studies. And is that are 112.7 million euros which the Spanish Government intended to finance projects of mobility of the Erasmus program of Higher Education.
And why China?
" Why choose China?", will wonder and many young people. Here the answer: China is a huge country in which tradition and modernity live in a continuous mix. Due to the weight that has acquired in the world economy in recent years, has become an attractive destination of studies chosen by each time more students.
Its capital is Beijing and the most populated city in this country is Shangái, with nearly 25 million inhabitants. The official language is Mandarin Chinese. The form of government is the State single party socialist with market economy. Is the most populous country in the world with 1395 million inhabitants and the first world power by GDP. Its currency is the renminbi, but its unit is the yuan, and their religion, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism.
Those who are considering requesting studies in China have to take into account, in favor of the country, a territory that was very diverse, being the second largest economy in the world. On the other hand, the Chinese is a language increasingly demanded by companies. China is a millenary civilization with a very rich history and, in general, is an inexpensive country to study and live, although there may be many differences from one area to another.
On the other hand, do not forget that the Chinese culture is completely different to the Union; not everyone speaks English, so we need to prepare to learn Chinese. The Chinese are heavy drinkers of tea and their preparation is a ritual.
