The startup Legit.Health has been recognized as the most innovative technology-based company in the Basque Country at the EmprendeXXI Awards.

CaixaBank, DayOne, through its division specialized in technology companies and their investors, and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, through ENISA, organized the 17th edition this year. The territorial distribution of the EmprendeXXI Awards in the Basque Country has the support of the Basque Government.

Legit.Health is a medical-focused company that automatically diagnoses and measures the severity of more than three hundred skin pathologies with images taken from smartphones, thanks to the application of Artificial Intelligence and medically validated computer vision.

In addition, it determines the degree of involvement of the pathology and makes it easier for the health professional to choose the best treatment. His project has been selected among the 63 candidates who have submitted to the awards in the Basque Country. The EmprendeXXI Awards have established themselves as a reference award for the entrepreneurial ecosystem, both nationally and regionally.

Encouraging innovation through specialized training

With this award, Legit.Health received a cash prize of 6,000 euros and access to a training program in a world-class reference innovation center. This is Moonshot Thinking For Entrepreneurs, a training specially designed for startups with high growth potential, given by ESADE professors.

In addition, Legit.Health will also have the opportunity to participate in the Investors Day EmprendeXXI conference, where they will be able to maintain contact with investors and companies interested in collaborating with the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and will become part of the AlumniXXI community, made up of founders and winners of past editions.

In the EmprendeXXI Awards ceremony, within the framework of the DayOne Innovation Summit Euskadi, professionals from CaixaBank, ENISA and the Territorial Directorate of the Basque Government participated, among others.
The jury responsible for choosing the winning company is made up of important members of the regional entrepreneurship ecosystem, including SPRI, Mondragon Innovación and the main business organizations.

The most innovative companies with the greatest potential in the Basque Country

Legit.Health, the rest of the Basque startup finalists participated in the event, and had the opportunity to present their projects:

• CULTZYME develops smart multi-purpose bioreactors to help biotech companies accelerate the development of new cellular foods, therapies and materials.
• LUP develops solutions based on Artificial Intelligence, which convert text into speech to break the reading barrier. Its aim is to provide autonomy and independence so that people with reading difficulties can once again carry out everyday activities, such as reading a newspaper, shopping or ordering in a restaurant.
• Motmo is a platform where original artists teach how to perform their songs. This is achieved thanks to an interactive player based on Artificial Intelligence that allows the automatic creation of scores.
• Test4Safe has designed test strips that detect the application of alcohol-dependent drugs. Its purpose is to prevent abuses that occur under the influence of chemical shipments.

All these companies can be the future leaders of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Basque Country. With these awards, CaixaBank and ENISA recognize solutions to the challenges of the future today, which encourage us to imagine a better, more sustainable and more respectful world.
