ElRubius, after 30 million subscribers reach: "Now I am shier"
Eight years after uploading his first video on YouTube, ElRubius has reached the 30 million subscribers on the video platform. "I still find it hard to assimilate such a large number," says Ruben Doblas, 28, in a statement he posted on Twitter, Facebook and stories of Instagram. There are only three YouTubers in the world with more subscribers than him. In addition, it is the Spanish YouTuber with the most subscribers and the second speaking.
"When I started with all this I didn't imagine my life was going to change so radically. For the good and for the bad, "he says in the first lines of the communiqué. With "The bad" refers to the problems that have caused him fame, of which he has already spoken on other occasions and that have taken him to take a break.

ElRubius claims to have changed in these eight years-"Now I'm more shy"-but ensures that he keeps his feet on the ground: "I have always been afraid that money, fame and everything that implies will change my way of being and make me a cocoon. The YouTuber ends up saying that he would love to thank all his subscribers, "but you are 30 million people, so I see it a little complicated." One day before reaching the 30 million subscribers, ElRubius uploaded this photo to his Twitter account.
To get an idea of the dimension of ElRubius you only have to consult the numbers of your channel. In it, ElRubius has a video with 50 million of reproductions and seven others with more than 30 million. Among these tweeters, some have reminded him that in 2016 he promised to dye blond if he reached the 30 million of subscribers. He already did it in February 2017. We'll see if he repeats.
