Has funding been difficult?
Yes, it is a challenge, and it is a challenge mainly because we are a young team. At the Bizkaia level, we often talk about the need to promote young talent, but when it comes to grants and funding, it's difficult to do that. It is true that there are people who help us in many ways, in consulting, tutoring, space... but it is the financial muscle that costs us the most and being so young, it costs more.
What are your shoe styles?
At the moment they are not on the market because we need funding to patent and manufacture the mechanism. We are working in these three lines. And in terms of our products, we have two profiles, one between 35 and 50 years old, who goes to work, needs a heel, whose lifestyles and events are very busy; and then there is a younger one, who has started with the first jobs, incomes and parties.
So we have open sandals, for events, parties, which are attractive and can be used on various occasions; and then, since we are from Bilbao, we know that it rains here and we have to take out closed shoes. Even for our mechanism, the closed boot is a challenge because of its functionality. Everything is designed, but we can't launch them yet.
How can they be obtained?
In the first two years, our sales distribution will be direct sales to the customer, mainly online, but our customers will be able to try, touch and wear them in a series of 'showrooms' and pop-ups, which we will temporarily launch in various cities. And from the third year, through collaborators, through physical points of sale, in traditional stores.
How would you recommend using your products?
Everyone uses their shoes the way they want. Our shoes are adaptable to different times of the day, and that's the solution we offer you, so you don't have to take another pair of shoes when you go to an event or a party; Another base that fits in a pocket is enough. So our product can be used in different parts of the day.
When will they be available?
We hope as soon as possible, but the forecast is approximately one year, if everything goes well and as we hope, but we are dependent on grants.
It is important to emphasize that our products have a need in certain profiles. We don't like to differentiate between men and women. They are for all people who wear heels. We are looking for a profile that connects with our solution, we don't distinguish women, men...
