In total, 105 students of the Vocational Education of Navarra who participated in the Erasmus+ Program in the 2021/22 school year received diplomas certifying their training practices in various European countries on September 14. During the award ceremony, Education Councilor Carlos Gimeno highlighted "the values of personal growth, work growth and social growth that the experience brings to Vocational Education students".
In a public event, in the meeting room of the Department of Education, 49 high-level VET students and 56 middle-level VET students received from the counselor Gimeno from Portugal (Lisbon), Germany (Berlin and Hamburg), Poland (Krakow), Italy (Turin, Florence , Vicenza, Rome and Celano), diplomas certifying training obtained in companies in France (Nay and Paue), Malta, Finland (Lappeenranta), Holland (Utrecht) and Ireland (Cork).
The general director of Vocational Education, Tomás Rodríguez, was also present at the event. He was accompanied by Ricardo Goñi, on behalf of Caja Rural, who gave a check for 550 euros to each student of a higher vocational education degree, with which the financial entity helps to balance the amounts of the scholarship, since, according to the regulations of the European Commission, these students they receive a smaller scholarship than middle school students.
Some of the people participating in the Erasmus+ Program develop their studies in Navarre work centers (FCT) and complete them with these European post-graduate internships. Others, from March to June, did official internships in European companies and were then validated to obtain the degree.
Last year 108 students in short-term stays
In addition to these three months of mobility, during the 21/22 school year, the Department of Education sent 108 male and female students to Europe, together with 21 teachers of Intermediate, Basic and Special Education, for short stays of ten to fifteen days.
On the other hand, 56 VET teachers also spent one or two weeks in groups or individually.
Despite the pandemic, this year the usual number of Erasmus Vocational Trainings in the Provincial Community of Navarre has recovered.
New expedition in September 2022
Similarly, 21 Navarre students of Intermediate and Higher Vocational Education left on September 17 and 18, to Portugal, Germany, Italy and Malta, to carry out Erasmus+ training stays in those places.
Seven of them, three intermediate and 4 advanced, will train for 13 weeks on the island of Malta in the Mediterranean; Middle school student in Portugal
one, four other high school students and one middle school student in Germany, and three middle school students and 5 high school students will do graduate internships in Italy.
This is the first group of Navarre VET students who will do Erasmus+ training stays in several European countries in the 2022-2023 school year. These departures will be repeated with new groups in January and March 2023.
