In the last few years, and even months, artificial intelligence has made tremendous progress. Especially in the field of generative AI, which is capable of generating content based on cues, be it text or images. Among the texts, perhaps the most popular at the moment is ChatGPT.
What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot prototype. It is a language model that enables text conversations, and has been developed with reinforcement and supervised learning techniques. Its basis is the OpenAI GPT model. For now, the free version of ChatGPT uses its version 3.5, although it is likely that its version will use the already announced version 4 in the not-too-distant future. This is already being tested in ChatGPT Plus, its paid version.
In order to be able to hold text conversations with humans, its creators have trained ChatGPT primarily on large amounts of text taken from the Internet. The purpose of this training is to be able to do various language-related tasks in various languages. These tasks range from translating texts to creating sentences and texts on a specific topic.
How to use
To use ChatGPT, the first thing to do is to access its official website. When it opens, the first thing is to open a user account on that website, organized by OpenAI, the creator of the chatbot. The account is free, and so is the use of the basic and free version of ChatGPT.
When you enter the ChatGPT page, already with your user account, you will see an interface with a bar at the bottom. ChatGPT is ready to type whatever you want to say. Some examples of things you can say to the chatbot will probably appear before that. But it can also work in Spanish. In addition, humans are able to understand and communicate in many other languages.
After a few moments of telling ChatGPT what you want, the language model will return a response, or text on a topic related to what you asked. Of course, ChatGPT users should be aware that everything they write and communicate to the chatbot will be recorded. That is why it is not advisable to include personal data in messages. Also, avoid requests that may be criminal or potentially dangerous.
