Ameca, a super realistic human-looking robot

It is the most advanced and super realistic robot in the world and is called Ameca. CES 2022 is over and we can say without a doubt that Ameca has generated the most interest from the participants. The Consumer Electronics Fair has brought together Las Vegas, as it does every year, developers from around the world. Among the most striking bets are a color-changing BMW, a dog collar that can sense feelings, and an electronic table that can be muted according to its intended use. But none of them have made as many friends as Ameca.

Founded by Engineered Arts, Ameca is a human-like robot who has spoken to everyone who has come to know him from his temple. In this edition marked by remote proposals, Ameca wanted to show off its capabilities. Because they are spectacular.

The so-called "most advanced human-looking robot in the world", in addition to having striking facial features, is able to create facial expressions by using them to use Ameca and as part of her speech. In this way, the robot can answer users' questions not only with words, but also with facial expressions and intonation.

We already saw it in December when Engineered Arts released a video of Ameca’s awakening. There, we saw how the robot reacted to life with a gesture of astonishment, made several gestures and even looked at his arm curiously.
As for his speech, Ameca knows how to speak well on different topics, and he is also able to give many answers to the same question.

Software

Its software has limited responses. For example, when a TN Tech correspondent approached him asking for a solution to Argentina's economic situation, the robot replied, "I can't answer that. You'll have to talk to my developers." Temple engineer Marcus Hold then explained: "There are some human problems that only they can solve."

Although an Ameca has not yet been created to solve this problem, what we already have is perfect for customer service. The creators explain that “human-like artificial intelligence needs a human-like artificial body. Artificial intelligence and machine learning systems can be tested and developed in Amecan with our powerful Tritum robot operating system. Ameca's hardware is a development based on humanoid robotics research and built on our advanced Mesmer technology. "

Ameca is already moving her face and arms. The next step is to teach them how to walk, but the goal is still a long way off. For now, the robot is already in an "artificial human-like body."

Interacting with people

At CES, an Ameca machine chatted with people, watched the movements of the strangest hands with their eyes, took pictures with visitors, and even tried to show off their Tai Chi skills.

The humanoid robot Ameca seems to have fulfilled its media mission at the CES 2022 International Technology Exhibition in Las Vegas (USA) from 5 to 8 January. This is clear from a video clip that is now circulating on the networks and shows that Android is attracting the attention of visitors to the event.

In the recordings, Ameca talks to people and answers all sorts of questions. “I can make the world a better place by interacting with humans and teaching them some things they don’t know,” the robot says in one of the videos.

"We designed Ameca to resemble human movements as much as possible. Humans are very complex, so it's almost impossible to make a robot look like a human," said Morgan Roek, chief operating officer of Engineered Arts.
