Alstom Spain, looking for young talent

Alstom, the world leader in sustainable and intelligent mobility, has launched the 11th edition of the Alstom Talent Energy program. This academic and professional excellence initiative is aimed at final year Undergraduate and Master's students and recent graduates, with the aim of training and promoting young talent in the railway sector.

The program lasts between 6 and 12 months and offers scholarships for postgraduate training and internships, paid at the Alstom centers in Madrid and Barcelona.

"With this program, which has already involved more than 300 young graduates, we offer final year or Master's students and recent graduates an opportunity to continue their personal and professional development in a company like Alstom, a world leader in sustainable and intelligent mobility. The promotion of young talent and their professional development is a strategic pillar of our company", says Stéphanie Burik, Human Resources Director of Alstom Spain and Portugal.

This year a total of 18 places will be offered for postgraduate or final year students

Industrial Engineering, Industrial Organization, Digital Transformation, Electrical Engineering or Business Administration and Management, among others. The internships will take place during the year in the industrial center of Santa Perpètua (Barcelona), the global railway signaling and safety center in Madrid or in different digital services and maintenance units.

Those selected will be able to combine postgraduate training and practical training in a single program. In addition to paid internships and mentorships, Alstom participants will study Talent Energy's "Living Organizations and Digital Transformation" degree from the University of Alcalá. All participants receive a grant from Alstom Spain to carry out this training and, in parallel, develop sustainable mobility projects, national or international, in their different professional practices.

The registration period for the selection process will end on October 13.

Innovative and sustainable solutions for urban mobility

Alstom, the global leader in sustainable and intelligent mobility, presented innovative and sustainable solutions for urban mobility at the World Public Transport Summit 2023 organized by UITP, which took place from June 4 to 7 in Barcelona. They had the opportunity to discover in real conditions Alstom's innovations to improve urban mobility and passenger experience: eco-design, high recyclability, 100% LED lighting, intelligent information system, improved accessibility, air treatment and much more. For a complete and immersive experience, visitors were also able to try out a driving simulator specially designed for driver training in Barcelona's metro network.

Experts at the service of mobility

During the congress, several experts from Alstom spoke about the key issues of urban mobility. Visitors had the opportunity to discover signaling, maintenance and cyber security solutions, either directly at the stand (in various areas dedicated to CBTC signaling systems, predictive maintenance solutions or the Alstom virtual universe...), or in different sessions.
