Alcatel is backing its Android Supreme for its basics and has dared to re-release the original Alcatel 1 device. It has been renewed in 2021 and comes with an aggressive selling price of 59 euros in Europe, a price that could lead to compulsive sales in favor of the Eastern company.

Basic model at a very low price

The new Alcatel 1 opts for a 5-inch diagonal LCD screen and an 18: 9 ratio with a resolution of 960 x 480 pixels. Underneath it we find a 2,000 mAh battery with a standard 5W fast charge and the charger is included in the box. For the processor, Alcatel opts for a MediaTek MT6739 as in its original model, although the RAM has 16 GB of internal space in addition to the microSD.

¡The camera platform has two simple sensors on each side of the phone. At the front we find 2 megapixels for selfies and at the back we have a 5 megapixel sensor, accompanied by an LED flash. In the software we have the Android 11 Go Edition camera with its different photo modes.

Origin, Alcatel 1

Alcatel 1, the cheapest Android Go, arrived in Spain in 2008. It was a Google initiative aimed at mobile phones with very basic features. The idea was to offer an Android version with lighter apps that could work well, even if it only had 1GB of RAM and basic processors.
