The association already has more than half a thousand members to fulfill its goals and internal democratic functioning and joint participation. Members are public and private law (technology-companies, listed and unlisted, universities, foundations and associations, and public institutions and administrations).
Alastria is a set of networks or nodes embedded in its member servers. Alastria as a node network, due to its importance and its temporary implementation since October 2017, the first public Blockchain in Spain (free association and members have the freedom to remove the name) and authorized (authorized to propose and execute transactions according to a protocol of agreement, type PoA ) has become an operational development since its inception in the Quereum version of Ethereum.
From a regulatory point of view, and as a network authorized to conduct transactions, the partners or members associated with Alastria comply with internal policies to ensure that the network operates effectively. These policies include aspects related to:
In the first two years of the Red Nonprofit Consortium, a community has been created that has managed to effectively implement, standardize, protect, and effectively promote and promote different Blockchain technologies (not just Ethereum), both nationally and cross-border.
In fact, the Consortium does not offer Blockchain services to third parties, but is limited to configuring the node community and promoting collaborative work of all in distributed infrastructures. Therefore, it does not currently assume any responsibility for the exploitation, management or operation of DLT productive networks, or for the provision of services to third parties. Notwithstanding this, the association’s Board of Directors (members or not) provides Blockchain services to members, generally within the framework of service organization agreements for network members and users. In this context, the members, the preliminary reports of the Technological and Legal Committees of the Association, accept the common rules of these agreements, which are freely adhered to by the interested parties.
