• Social-type enterprises are increasingly necessary in the contemporary era.
• Teachers and universities should seek to promote this form of entrepreneurship among their students.
• Through daily actions it is possible to promote this way of undertaking, directly within the classroom.
Entrepreneurship is the new way to do business today, and to enter the labor market for students and professionals. Through this modality, students find how to channel their creativity, and contribute to the development of society.
However, when thinking about an enterprise, the term is usually associated with a business selling certain products or services with which an entrepreneur gets high sums of money and surprising figures. The truth is that this is not the only way to undertake, or the most used today.
The digital age is characterized by the impulse to social entrepreneurship. That is, the one that through an innovative idea seeks to solve a social problem of a certain sector of the population, using an economically profitable model, but essentially useful to contribute to social development. With the new technologies these problems can be known and disclosed more easily.
In essence, it could be said that all entrepreneurship has the objective of satisfying a need, but in the case of social enterprises, this need is above the entrepreneur's pretense of profitability.
This is the new form of entrepreneurship, typical of the collaborative economy. In order for it to be strengthened and continue to grow, it must be fostered in universities and educational centers, through concrete actions by teachers.

This type of undertakings can bring basic natural resources to isolated areas, promote the education of the most needy, recycle elements that pollute the environments, etc. You just need to combine a good idea with some ingenuity to create a profitable venture that contributes to society or the planet.
