42 Urduliz, adapted to the student

42 Urduliz is much more than a programming school in Bizkaia. It is an academy for learning hard, gentle values, attitudes and skills. The campus covers an area of more than 2,400 m2 and is located in the Urduliz Tower. There, with the support of the Fundación Telefónica and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, a disruptive training model is proposed for all the challenges and digital profiles required by the labor market. And all this by breaking down schemas and paradigms, applying a methodology based on gamification and “peer to peer” paths, based on a philosophy that focuses on “learning to learn”, and in a framework that promotes creativity, effort, improvement and teamwork. So 42 Urduliz could be said to be the learning of the present.

But above all, 42 Urduliz Bizkaia is 'Up To You': you choose what you learn and how.

Participate

42 To take part in Urduliz, you do not need any previous knowledge or qualifications, you must be over 18 years old and have the desire, attitude and perseverance to learn. 42 Urduliz is a free, face-to-face campus that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so you can learn at your own pace.

Two entry phases must be passed: an online registration test and a 26-day pre-selection period (pool). After that, your learning will begin on campus. Be brave and find out how it will take you less than a year to get your first professional experience! 42 You will learn programming from the first minute in Urduliz and after your first experience in companies, you will be able to continue your training in all the technical branches you want.

Programming campus

Urduliz (Bizkaia) is the fourth municipality to join the 42 pioneering pedagogical models based on peer learning and gamification. Candidates wishing to register must go to www.42urduliz.com, fill in the basic details and take two online tests. Access to 42 requires no training and prior qualifications.

Basic data must be completed and then two online tests: a 10-minute memory exercise and a 2-hour logical-mathematical thinking test. This is the first phase of the tests required to enter the new campus. It will open its doors in the first half of 2021 at the Urduliz Tower in Bizkaia. The space has five floors and 2,400 m2, and space for 600 students. If so, it will help train employees in today’s digital professions.

After passing the online tests, candidates must pay attention to the “pool” calls (until the registration places are filled). This last test is the hardest and most rigorous. It assesses the real chances of the candidates to get a permanent place in 42 Urduliz. To do so, they will have to complete a total of 13 projects in 26 days, and will spend an average of 10-12 hours a day at the academy. During this period, candidates will be confronted with what will be similar to their daily routine at 42, a philosophy that is addressed on campus. They will need to find a way to adapt, deal with ups and downs, and solve new challenges.

The 42 models, which are free, face-to-face and open 24/7, have been successful on more than 20 international campuses. 42 No prior technical knowledge or qualifications are required to be admitted to the Urduliz Academy. Over the age of 18, all that is needed is a desire to learn, an attitude, and perseverance, and an appreciation for the importance of collaborating with others. With this new concept, students learn to learn, and freely choose their path.
