After we learned that it was working on its first keyboard, now the Asian brand has surprised us again with a device that will deviate from its usual path, and will make the diversification of its range a hallmark of this manufacturer, much more than the mantra that constantly repeated to us that they were manufacturers of high-end mobile phones . It still is, but with them, there are all kinds of devices, such as the first tablet from this manufacturer. Now we know not only its existence, but also what its name would be, its design and some of its characteristics.

A different tablet

As we have seen now, it seems that the tablet will have a different design, at least if we look at some of the leaks, which show us a device with a thin bezel screen, as well as a very different camera module. Like what we see in the picture, round, big and centered on the upper back. There are no details on what will be inside that camera module, but the dimensions and shape are quite striking and unfamiliar for a tablet.

On the front we see a screen with narrow edges, one of the thinnest we have seen on a tablet recently. So it cannot be ruled out that it is aimed at premium or even mid-range. At the same time, we have seen an image that would be taken from OnePlus' press materials for the February event. And in that image we see a completely different design, because in this case the camera module is also round.

And it must also be said that it is much more common and similar to other tablets. If we're being honest, this image taken from alleged marketing material could be legit, as OnePlus is more likely to release a tablet with a more conservative design than one that's so different. But until today they are only speculations. What is clear is that OnePlus would be very close to presenting its first tablet on the market.

Other interesting information is related to the name, and it seems that the name chosen by the brand is OnePlus Pad. It's nothing original by the way, but definitely something we can all understand without a problem. Finally, information that is quite revealing in itself, and tells us where we can expect this tablet to fight. And they suggest that their biggest rival would be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. So it should be a high-end tablet. If so, we would not be surprised by this strange design that has now been revealed.
