Zaragoza, on September 29, hosted the fourth edition of Legal Blockchain, and there were more than 150 participants. Participants, speakers, moderators and various professionals gathered again for a whole day in the ITAINNOVA facilities of the Río Ebro Campus to discuss Blockchain technology.
It was a meeting organized by Blockchain Zaragoza and the Technological Institute of Aragon (ITAINNOVA), sponsored by the associations Coloriuris, Widesecurity Global, Aralegis, Tigalia and Los Sitios Abogados, and has, among others, the collaboration of the Real and Illustrious School of Lawyers of Zaragoza, which has collaborated with the help of the Block4Coop project also offering a regional discussion table.
As in previous editions, this meeting had a double purpose. On the one hand, "addressing the different applications and use cases of blockchain technology in Public Administrations, the Private Sector and the University environment. And on the other hand, dealing with the link between blockchain technology and Artificial Intelligence, from a technical and legal point of view".
In fact, one of the novelties of this conference was the inclusion of other technologies, such as artificial intelligence, together with the blockchain, which exponentially multiplies its use cases.
As Ester Borao, director of ITAINNOVA, highlighted in the presentation of the Congress, "Aragon is a pioneer in Europe in the use of Blockchain in public procurement and in ITAINNOVA, together with other public institutions in the community, we are the promoters of an ecosystem around this technology that is changing and revolutionizing the production model throughout the world of innovation. ".
But this year, Congress had more news. On the one hand, its internationalization because, apart from Spain, there were two other invited countries, Argentina and South Africa. And on the other hand, ALASTRIA, one of the world's most famous consortia related to blockchain technology, and the participation of the multinational technological company NTT DATA based in Zaragoza.
