The Basque Country Environmental Industries Cluster Association (Aclima) will hold the IV Basque Greentech and for the first time the Green UPS Forum! on January 30 and 31 at the BAT B Accelerator Tower in Bilbao. The event will bring together for two days the innovative ecosystems in environmental matters in the Basque Country, from the most consolidated as technological centres, leading companies in the sector or public institutions, to those that have accumulated the greatest growth potential in recent years, the start-ups.
This year, Basque Greentech, already consolidated as a reference event in technological innovation in the Basque environment, grows in content and extends its 4th edition to two days with the celebration of a new Forum under the title of Green UPS!. With the aim of continuing to promote the development of technological innovations that provide solutions to the needs of the Ecological Transition and decarbonisation of the industry, the Green UPS! Forum is being held. It is presented as a meeting point for the innovative entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem in the Basque Country.
On 30 January, and within the framework of Basque Greentech, 15 technological innovation projects will be presented, grouped into four areas: clean water and sanitation, sustainable cities and communities, responsible production and consumption, and climate action.
During the Green UPS! Forum, which will take place on Friday 31 January, the protagonists will be the innovative and sustainable start-ups that aspire to integrate into the environmental ecosystem of the Basque Country, which will meet with different actors from the world. investment that exist in the territory. Various round tables will be held to explore the current state of support for environmental entrepreneurship through different mechanisms such as the public framework for entrepreneurship incentives, private venture capital investment with impact investments in the ecological transition or the financial sector's commitment to sustainability.
Among other initiatives, this edition highlights the call for the Green UPS Awards! which aim to recognise the innovative startup with the greatest transformative potential in the field of the environment.
